I am Electronics Technician 3rd
Class Carl Miller. I have been in the
Navy for three years and enjoy my job.
This was my first port visit to Chile. Valparaiso
was very nice. The locals were friendly
and informative. I think that it was a
good experience and I would definitely come back again. The locals treated us well wherever we went.
We also did a few exercises with the Chilean
navy. It was interesting to see how other navies operate. Some Chilean sailors
embarked on our ship and we got a chance to interact with them. It was great to
interact with the Chilean sailors and build friendships with them.
Overall, Chile was a
great place to visit and see. There were plenty of fun activities to take part
in and the people I met were fantastic. If given the chance, I would definitely
go back again.
